Dr. Ajeenkya D Y Patil

Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil is a visionary educationist and an eminent Economist dedicated to providing educational opportunities to all sections of society. With over three decades of experience in the field of education, he has played a stellar role in shaping the education system and empowering individuals in Maharashtra and India.

He holds key leadership positions across various domains of the dynamic and progressive Ajeenkya D Y Patil Group which is inspired by the ideology and is the brainchild of his father, a respected and prominent educationist and Padmashree Awardee Dr. Dnyandeo Yashwantrao Patil, also the Former Governor for the states of Tripura, Bihar and West Bengal.

With a rich background in education, Dr Ajeenkya Patil has successfully served in various leadership roles, demonstrating exceptional skills in strategic planning, organizational development and curriculum design. He has consistently aimed to improve the educational standards and create an inclusive learning environment for students. Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil truly believes in the ideology of Love All Serve All and is continuously striving for the same through his tireless efforts of uplifting different sections of the Indian society by connecting them with the mainstream quality education.

Appointments

Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil is the Vice President of Continental Medicare foundation, Vice President of the D Y Patil Education Academy, Trustee for the D Y Patil Education Society and President of the Ramrao Adik Education Society. He is also the Pro Chancellor of the D Y Patil University at Navi Mumbai apart from being the Chancellor of the Ajeenkya D Y Patil University and Chairman of the esteemed D Y Patil Group.

The Ajeenkya D Y Patil group which is in its third generation is continuing expanding its legacy into Healthcare, Agriculture, Sports and Real Estate apart from having proven their expertise and prowess in the challenging Indian Education space.

Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil has been appointed as the Honorary Consul general for the Republic of Guyana in India. This prestigious position enables him to foster diplomatic relations and promote cultural understanding between the two countries.

Educational Background

Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Richmond College, UK and has been awarded with the Honorary Doctorate by University of Central Lancashire for his exemplary work in the field of Education, Healthcare and Social Services. He also holds the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational administration from the D Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai.

Spiritual and Technology Connect

Dr Ajeenkya Patil has always aspired to be a scientist and as a result has passionately worked on the development of experimental technologies in the field of Quantum Physics and Science. He is inclined to explore the deep knowledge in the field of spiritual sciences and the true wisdom enclosed in our globally renowned scriptures viz., The Vedas.

As a child he was so fascinated by computers and technology that he went ahead by developing his programming skills. He truly believes that due to the emergence of Artificial intelligence and technology, mankind can look forward to a Utopian World which is free from Poverty, Hunger and war and gives everyone a right to live in a peaceful and a healthy future.

Resilience and Affinity for Science

Dr Ajeenkya Patil has a list of illustrious achievements to his name that includes a Patent for Invention of Rescue system for Borewell Accidents. At a very young age he was awarded meritorious certificates for his contribution in Electronics and Computers. He was also a Ham Radio operator with the restricted grade call sign VU3ADP and developed a deep interest in technology. Even before the advent of Internet, he had developed communication systems through wireless technologies and was able to transmit signal over phone lines. He had also developed an autonomous car in the 90’s which could self drive, however he ended up with a fractured hand post the experiment that dissuaded him from pursuing similar revolutionizing ideas. However, he has been undeterred and still follows his passion for researching on free energy, telepathic communications through quantum entanglement and disease healing through use of resonating frequencies.

Key Domestic and Global Appointments

Dr Ajeenkya Patil has served as the Chairman for the Central Board for Workers Education (CBWE) by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India. The Honorable President of Guyana, His Excellency Bharrat Jagdeo appointed him to be the Economic Advisor in 2013. He was also appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Guyana in Mumbai with Consular jurisdiction over the state of Maharashtra and continues to be the Consul general under the Honorable President of Guyana, His Excellency Mohamed Irfaan Ali. Guyana today is one of the fastest growing economies of the world owing to its rich oil reserves. Dr. Patil in instrumental is strengthening the strategic ties between India and Guyana.

Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil has worked closely with global leaders from India and overseas and has served on several committees to advise on Education, Healthcare and economic reforms.

He was the Chancellor’s nominee from 2007 till 2010 on the Management Council of University of Mumbai.

In April 2016, he was appointed as the Executive Vice President for Education at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He was also appointed as the Chairman of CII, Western region sub-committee on Education.

Rotary foundation of Rotary International awarded him with the Paul Harris fellowship in March 2000.

Awards and Accolades

He was conferred the Achievement award at the hands of President Shri Pranab Mukherjee for meritorious work in the field of Education. Dr Ajeenkya Patil was deeply motivated by his speech and as fate would have it, after a few years Ajeenkya D Y Patil University at Pune was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Dr Patil was presented with the Achiever’s award in September 2004 in recognition of his distinguished service, loyalty and devotion in the field of education by the Lions Club International.

In September 2011 he was awarded the Top Management consortium Award of Excellence 2010 – 11, Pune at the hands of the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Shri K Sankaranarayanan.

He was the distinguished speaker at the House of Lords with special invitation from Barrister Ms. Cherie Blair (Wife of British Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair) and Lord Patel on the occasion of World Water Day in 2007.

In 2010, the Indo – American society, Mumbai invited him at the Indo-US summit on Higher education to speak on “Policy framing and regulations in Higher Education and the need for Deregulation”.
